For some of our longstanding members we want to take the opportunity to clarify our new moderating policy. Tangent 21 remains largely a family friendly environment (apart from our new After Hours forum, and some Fanfic). This means that strong language and mature themes remain unacceptable outside those forums.

So whatÂ’s changed?

Firstly, moderators will generally refrain from editing ‘implied’ subject matter or innuendo.

Secondly, the method we use to edit has changed. When a thread or post is spotted that potentially needs moderation, it will be moved temporarily to a staff only forum. Here, every editing decision will be agreed by two or more moderators. So when you see something disappear, it hasnÂ’t been deleted, we are just trying to deliver a fairer more impartial service.
