This has already been explained to you but the original is a bloke singing Rich Man (from a musical), so you're ok

I often feel like it with more modern and upbeat songs too, like 'Rich Girl' although that may be less appropriate as i'm a bloke
Musicals
Ok i'm not a fan of musicals really, although some are classics. Anyway, I still find myself wanting to sing and dance down the street, singing a classic Sinatra track, with a hat on, and jumping on things, and like sliding down slopes and spinning around? Anyone else ever get these urges? I often feel like it with more modern and upbeat songs too, like 'Rich Girl' although that may be less appropriate as i'm a bloke (well, most of the time). Thing is, if I was to do it, I think people might think i'm drunk or a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

aha yes but I prefer Gwens version and I can't sing about being a rich girl, people will think i'm nuts singing about being a girl. Unless I had my Christina costume on of course.

In which case they'd quite clearly be able to see you're nuts! *badum-tsh* (that joke doesn't work so well written down, but hey-ho)

I know what you mean, I feel like that sometimes. And if I'm a bit drunk and am in a fairly quiet area with my mp3 player on I'll sometimes do it. Or if I'm very drunk I don't even need to be in a quiet area.
As far as musicals go though, there are a few naff ones out there but on the whole I love them.
OK, so this thread is not about the 'hundred best musicals' bit of cheap schedule filler on Channel 4 yesterday, but it's still a good place to mention this. I suppose the inclusion of '8 Mile', 'Cinderella' and 'Snow White' meant that it wasn't too particular about definitions, but it was still pretty great seeing 'Once More With Feeling' at No. 13...
Still think 'West Side Story' should have ben higher than 4, though

I love musicals. My favourite being Phantom of the Opera, Guys & Dolls (which I was very annoyed that it was something like 40 in Channel 4's rating) and Oliver.
Infact I saw Guys and Dolls in the West End last week and it is amazing!
I think it was great that Once More with Feeling & Moulin Rouge made it in the top 20.

I do get the urge after watching a musical to burst into song & generally dance like a fool but i try and refrain. Im a really bigfan of musicals, LOVE The Producers but was a bit dissapointed by the film, saw it on stage last year and it was amazing! Really love moulin rouge aswell but im a big Baz Luhrman fan in general! x
