After seeing companies like ABC & FOX are going to release their primetime shows online in which you can't skip commercials and with Philips developing technology to stop you from skipping commercials all together there might be hope yet and it's coming from the "weirdest" of place, the porn industry!

In the past the porn industry has been an early adopter of many technologies and has proven to be a good indicator or what we can expect to see in the mainstream.

After being "credited" for killing the video2000 in favor of VHS and being at the forefront of the DVD revolution, DVDs with different camera angles and HDTV, the porn industry strikes again. Where Mainstream Hollywood are only starting to make movies available for download in (non-)dvd quality which are only viewable using your computer, ipod, psp etc the adult entertainment industry is offering dvd quality movies which you can actually burn to dvd.

So who knows there might yet be hope for us all in this world of digital restrictions and copy protections Maybe the porn industry can give the people what they really want
