Well I never thought I'd be the one to start a football thread... 
But I just had to say... GO ENGLAND!! 1-0!! Woo-hoo!!
Oh, and I absolutely love Peter Crouch! He's so skinny and gangly and he looks so awkward and uncoordinated, as if he's gonna fall over at any moment, and yet he's one of our star strikers! And from a distance he really reminds me of Eugene from Big Brother 6! He's so cool, I wish I'd got his name and number on my England shirt...
Come and have a go Trinidad and Tobego, if you think you're hard enough...

how funny is the France v Portugal game? Ronaldo getting booed and jeered every time he touches the ball and cheers when its taken from him and France 1-0 up on a penalty. And Ronaldo's dive in the box five minutes later being ignored by the ref Lovin' it

... why were people glad Portugal didn't get through to the final? I know people are bitter about them knocking out England for various reasons, but wouldn't it be better if England fans could say "at least we got knocked out by the winners"?
