Although I haven't been on a proper holiday for years usually when I'm away I do check the net. Hopefully be going on a proper holiday soonish so we'll see as most hotels etc have internet access etc I doubt I won't spend at least a little time online

No internet access and i don't own a laptop (though i really, really want one) so i go cold turkey whilst on vacation. But i know i'll be logging on the evening i get back...

Depends - I can go without the net while on holiday *shock horror* but I may just quickly pop on to see what's happening or if I have any important emails.
But when I'm home the first thing that gets switched on is the PC - the unpacking can wait!

Why on earth would you want to be sat indoors surfing the net when you are somewhere hot getting away from it all?

I checked when I was in Hawaii but it was only 'cos of jetlag keeping me awake. I also liked to update my journal so I wouldn't forget what I'd been up to.

Haha, I'm in Bratislava, Slovakia right now so this poll makes me laugh. Am updating my livejournal with my progress on my 3 week backpack holiday. Some of my close friends now are people I know from chat, so it's nice to catch up with them too. Also, I've left the Manchester Education broadband service with nobody at the helm and so have been sorting stuff out while i'm away. Normally I hate getting involved with work while on holiday but I didn't really have a choice this time. Even so it was pretty novel to be fixing mail server problems using my sister's 3G connection while on the train to Venice!
Posted: 14:09 Jul 24 2006 Seconded - it is ridiculously hot in Eastern Europe at the moment, it's very nice to get a chance to sit and drink ice cold drinks in an air conditioned cafe!
