If you already have Sky (tv) you might want to wait and see if their services is going to be any good for broadband. Really decent packages for 5 - 10 quid a month apparently. Might be something worth looking into.

25 quid for thier top option, which gives up to 8Mb - if you get that speed, youve got 1Mb uploads, if you get less youre stuck with 256Kb.
and theyve got a 40Gb/month download limit, although if you avoid busy periods you can get away with a hell of a lot more...

Well after my ISP (e7even) went bust at the end of last month , I've just signed up with Tiscali, £14.99 for a 2mb with no limits (fair usage between 6pm and 11pm) and they throw in free weekend calls and 5p a hour evening calls.

The sky should be quite good but you need to be on a LLU exchange otherwise it's too expensive

try this lot: www.webtapestry.net. They are decent with their pricing etc. I know of one heavy user and they don't care about how much/little you download.
