Steve Irwin killed in Austrailia
"Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin has been killed by a stingray while filming in Austrailia.

I was a bit shocked when I heard about this today, although I guess I shoudn't have been given his reputation for placing himself and his children in life threatening situations.

I turned the news on in Portugal and heard the sad news this morning. To be honest, I had feeling it would happen from a croc or some sort of animal. But really awful news

Very sad, and how ironic that after all the things hes handled it had to be something with almost no record of killing people.

Its not often that i am shocked or even remotley upset by the death of a celebrity but when i woke this morning to radio one telling me that steve irwin had been killed by a stingray i almost choked. The guy was sheer entertainment and an absolute lunatic, my thoughts are with his wife,kids family and friends, the world is a sadder place without the croc hunter lets hope hes chasing them all about upstairs trying to get something done about the state of our planet

To be fair, it was bound to happen sooner or later, the guy was pretty mental! In a good way. I guess if he had to go, at least he went out doing what he loved...
Oh, and it was Katiestar who killed him as she's on holiday...

It looks like some "fans" of him are taking revenge on the stingrays by killing them and chopping their tails off. I'm almost ashame to be part of the same species as the people that are doing this......

There's an aletrnative theory that the Stingray's are being killed by people to take their barbs as mementos. Either way it's sick.
