Can't they just serve a second type of soup for people who don't eat pork? It just seems like a simple solution.
And do I think it's racist? No, not on its face. Only if the intent of the group is to discriminate. I'd have to know something more about the group and their agenda. If it's an anti-Semitic (sp?) group that has an anti-Semitic agenda, then perhaps their intention is to discriminate by their choice of a pork soup. But really, it seems a private soup kitchen can serve anything it likes. If you don't want to eat the soup they serve, don't go there.
