Yeah, for some reason it's "Without You" by Harry Nilsson (which i adore) and "Mandy" by Barry Manilow. My mum used to listen to a lot of music when i was an ickle 'un... the Everly Brothers stick in my mind a lot too, and Neil Sedaka...
Subliminal Songs
When I was younger I had lots of tunes going through my head. I didn't remember listening to them and I had no idea what they were or who they were by.
As is turned out they were things like Heart of Glass, Cars, YMCA, Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick, Tragedy and various other tracks from around 1978/79. I figured that my parents must have had the radio on an awful lot when I was about two, and the songs just stuck in my brain
Does anyone else remember songs from early in their childhood that they don't remember listening to, and if so which ones?

I do however remeber singing "Billy don't be a hero" when I was Ickle .I think maybe it was also on the Radio a lot as my parents say they never owned the record.

As for what songs were stuck in my head for no apparant reason, I found I knew most of the Carpenters stuff through no fault of my own.
Ditto. And Barry Manilow. And Abba. Although as I got older I came to love their stuff anyway. I know my Dad played these three constantly.

There is one other song that goes through my head sometimes and has been there since I was very young. Bobby Darin : The End OF Never. Where it came from I don't know, but I *think* it had something to do with my Mother.

I seem to have U2's "A Beautiful Day" bouncing around my head quite a lot these days, maybe it's optimism seeping through

When I was in Primary school I used to sing the chorus to Paradise City all the time. I had no idea what it was from. And then a few years later when my sister was in her Guns n' Roses phase, I overheard it and thought "Cool!"
For some reason, I have 'Tragedy' stuck in my head.....
LOL!!!! That's because I've been sneaking into your house while you're asleep and subliminally playing it to you!
