If it's anything like the other Kevin Smith DVDs I wouldn't bother going anywhere near the R2 release due to outstandingly bad lack of features compared to the R1 releases
Jay and Silent Bob DVD...
... is out in the US on Monday
Unfortunately, I can't find a release date for the UK version.

Yups Lots of material that was shot and/or comes from J&SB will be included on the Clerks 10th Anniversary disc in 2004. Should be cool.
Incidentally Clerks, Clerks Uncensored (the cartoon series) and Chasing Amy have all just been re-released on R1. Handy.

Working out UK release dates is easy if you can remember the initial UK cinema release. There are exceptions to the rule but 4 years working in a video shop taught me this if nothing else...
0 Months - Cinema Release
+6 Months - Video Rental and usually DVD Rental and SellThru
+12 Months- VHS Sell Thru, Satelite Pay-Per-View
+18 Months- Satelite (subsciption rather than PPV channels)
+24 Months- Terrestrial TV
Disney will usually make you wait up to a year between Cinema and Video release (charging stores 50% more for their Rental Videos too) and some of the bigger titles (eg Bridget Jones, Mummy Returns) will rush release dates to make certain events such as Christmas.
There - and I thought my life was wasted renting "adult movies" to scruffy old men.

In definite agreement about the Kevin Smith R2 DVDs. Don't touch them with any kind of barge pole, let alone a 10 foot one. The Dogma and Mallrats ones have the theatrical trailer on them and that's about it!
The R2 ones have trailers, commentaries, documentaries, the whole works.

I've got them all now
All R1 as they are loads beter than their R2 counterparts. I think that Chasing Amy is out on a HMV only disc that is pretty much the same as the R1, however I can't confirm it as I've not looked at the disc.
Can't wait for the Clerks Anniversary disc and looking forward to Jersey Girl too.
Should I admit that when I got the Strike Back dvd I spent the entire morning on the saturday going through the 2nd disc watching all the extras?

I got mine last week. Its sooooo funny and all the extras are great to, nice to see a bit of effort put into them for a change.
Do you mean extra's in general or Kevin's extras? Because Kevin's discs are always full of extras, in fact if everyone took note of the care that Kevin takes over his discs every disc out there would be full of stuff as opposed to the single trailer that many discs try to get away with.
