As far as I know, it was never released (with no intention of doing so) in the UK.

Battle Beyond the Stars
Anyone remember this "classic" early Sci-Fi film? Anyone know where I can get hold of it on DVD or video? Baring in mind I don't have an All Regions DVD player, so the Region 1 DVD on Amazon is no good to me...

Fantastic film! One of my earliest cinema memories going to see this with my family when I was 8ish.
I'm shocked that it has never been released on region 2 Fast Rewind confirms that it was never released here on DVD
As you've found the region 1 version IS available
Even UK VHS was apparently "Deleted This item has been deleted in the UK since 22nd Oct 1992" according to Sendit.com
