Joe Strummer Dies
I'm sorry to have to post the first of the Music Forums death notices but...
Joe Strummer, frontman with the Clash, has died at his home aged 50.

I was so shocked when i heard this. the heros are slowly dying away, soon it will be just losers off TV with nothing to say.

I heard this on the six pm news and i couldn't believe it in the headlines. He'd apparently only played a gig in support of the firefighters a few weeks ago.
I was more in shock than anything else - he was only 50, younger than my mum
My thoughts are with his family cos it must be awful to lose him soo near to xmas

I cried when i heard this this morning.
Am a big Clash fan
may he rest in whatever peace he can find
and helps hope he keeps on rockin

I also got quite a shock when I found out. He was a dude. And it's a great loss to the musical world.
