Rock bands with female vocals?
A trend I've noticed recently (If it's actually a recent trend or not I have no idea) is bands with female vocals. Evanescence being a prime contender. After buying the Tsunami Bomb album, I'm keen to see if there are anymore out there.
Does anyone know of any? Thoughts on this type of vocal?

aye they do have a bird singing. seen em a few times now. shes very nice! 
as are the rest of the band nice people all round.
thier musics more jazzy and swing like compared to most ska-punk stuff but stil ace

I'd recomend anyone who likes rock/metal should listen to Nightwish: Dead Boy's Poem, it has one of the most beautiful sounding guitar solos I have ever heard, doesn't last for long enough though, also a drum solo.
P.S how long have velocity girl been around it's just there's Manics song by the same name, could just be coincidence but perhaps one band took their inspiration from the other.

However, I understand that the Manic's song of the same name is actually a cover of a Primal Scream song, released in '86. So whether the band take their name from the original recording I don't know.

I forgot Silverfish in my list!?! But they rocked. Their version of White Lines kicked Duran Duran's square the nuts and didn't stop even when it laid bleeding in the gutter...
