A huge, free, open air pop concert on Parker's Piece, with loads of food and drink. Party into the night with bands such as the Counterfeit Stones, Surfin' USA and Boogie Nights! There will also be a bar, fairground rides and a fantastic French market. FREE ENTRANCE.

FREE Open Air Screening: At 10.15pm a specially erected giant-sized screen will be showing 'The School of Rock'! Free for everyone as part of the Cambridge Film Festival.

BIG DAY OUT is the centrepiece of both The Big Weekend and CambridgeÂ’s summer entertainment programme. The event is twelve hours of non-stop FREE entertainment on ParkerÂ’s Piece that includes:

Emotive songs from local band EZIO; critically acclaimed alt country group from Cambridge THE BROKEN FAMILY BAND; upbeat fun and ska favourites from BIG TEN; THE BIG UP BAND bring the best of soul, rock and pop; street dance with
BODYWORKS DANCE COMPANY; music from SEAN WILLIAMS and JUNIOR DAN; Egyptian and break dancing; local 80s cover band STINGRAY; an eclectic mix of world music from GRAND UNION, plus local star DJ ALI.
