Sharon was childish the way she went about things 'tho. I adore the woman but she was acting like a little kid.
Sharon vs Dickenson
I don't know if anyone else has heard of this argument that's come to pass because of the friction during this Ozzfest tour in the US, between Sharon Osbourne and Bruce Dickenson.
After listening to both sides of the argument, I agree with Sharon (no I'm not biased!) and if someone pays you to headline on their tour, it is not on to say that it's not Ozzfest anymore but "Maiden-fest" and having a go at the people who put you on the tour in the first place!
But I hate Bruce Dickenson anyway, argh!

I heard about this last week but didn't actually read all the details till today. To be honest, I'm on Bruce Dickinson's side. Maybe he went a bit far with the comments about Ozzy (though whether he meant them in a serious way or a jokey way I'm sure I'll never know). Although I don't see anything wrong with the Maiden-fest comment, that's just a typical rock n' roll thing to say to excite the crowd. However, if you ask someone to headline your tour, it's not on to keep cutting the power during their set and to pelt them with eggs from the front row.
To take out her problems in front of a huge crowd who had paid to be there and enjoy the show was just very, very stupid. By the sounds of it a lot of them were very urinated off. Given that it was her tour that she'd organised, you'd expect her to think about them...

I don't see why people are so shocked that Sharon cut the power for Maiden, she did it to Limp Bizkit a few tours back. I'm not saying that this justifies what she did, but I can't see how it's so shocking.
I think the whole egg thing has been blown out of proportion, because when you think of all the things that get chucked forward towards the stage at a heavy metal concert (ew some of the things I have washed out of my hair) I think it's a bit OTT to say "the band were pelted with eggs". Apparantly it was only Sharon and Kelly actually throwing them, so I can't see it's done alot of damage.
But then again, I am a die hard Sharon fan until the end. I hate the moral high ground Bruce Dickenson is taking like he's some kind of angel, whereas Sharon is just honest and open about how she feels.

I wasn't aware that Bruce was taking any kind of maoral high-ground. As far as I've seen, apart from one statement from Rod Smallwood (their manager) they've been refusing to talk about it. At their concert on Friday Bruce was chatting to the crowd, and at the mention of the words "American tour" the audience started booing really loudly. Bruce just gestured for them to stop and then carried on with his story, there was no mention of "the incident" the whole night. Where as some of things Sharon's been saying just make you want to cringe at how childish she's being about the whole thing.
I love Sharon to bits, but sabotaging someone else's show (which really is what she was doing by killing the power) isn't on. And if she makes a habit of it then she's really not a good tour manager/organiser/whatever her title is... For the fans to express their criticism by booing/throwing things/walking out etc. is one thing (still not nice, but something you have to live with), for the organiser to do that is something completely different. And from what I heard a lot of people walked out in protest after Iron Maiden's set, before Ozzy had come on.
