I'm going! And it'll be my first ever festival! So be gentle...

I seemed to have got off quite lightly with the booking of tickets. Just a few refreshes and I managed to get through and book them.

Had heard about most of the bands they announced through rumours, but Placebo were a very welcome surprise. Also looking forward to seeing Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, My Chemical Romance, Muse, The Subways and probably loads more too...

Yeah, I think if you register on the Mean Fiddler web site you can actually put your name down in a kind of waiting list for when they release more tickets...

There's just been a load of new bands announced to be playing this year's festivals. The latest additions can be found here, and the full line-up so far can be found here.

I can't say there's that many of the new ones that I'm excited about, but a few I'm pleased to see added to the line-up are: Jet, Fightstar, Goldie Lookin' Chain, Dresden Dolls and Be Your Own Pet.

Fightstar!!!! Woohoo! Twice in one year!!!! Dunno who I pleased this year but... woohoo!

Dizzee Rascal has been there before. Personally I think anyone that boos or even worse, throws things, is pathetic. If you don't like them, don't see them, there are plenty of other stages to keep you happy. I'm sorry, but this really makes me angry when people think it's funny to boo someone off stage. I don't like Dizzee Rascal and I can't bear 50 Cent but this is their job and passion and they're doing the best they can. How would you like to get up on stage and be booed by hundreds or thousands of people? Just because you're not a huge fan of something doesn't make it fair to attack someone. I'd rather go to a festival that has a variety of different types of music, I might not like some of it, but at least it's more interesting.

I bought a Reading ticket almost straight away, it was weird, I didn't really expect to get one but I thought I'd just give it ago. No one else got one though so I might sell it and go to Leeds but I'm not sure. I'm going to T in the Park which should be awesome. I'm not sure if there's enough people (as in friends) going to Leeds to make it worthwhile this year.
