I thought they were gone.. Obviously not.
I'll be the first to admit, when I first heard rumours of Linkin Park being pretty much finished due to Chester Benningtons voice beign shot to bits, I believed it because it was a viable reason.
This isn't the case.
According to a post on their website just a couple of weeks ago, CB confirmed that they are in the process of writing up material for their new album. It begs the question though, what the hell have they been doing!?
Meteora came out early 2003, but in the meantime, Mike Shinoda has had his side project, Fort Minor and has been doing an album with them. Then before that there was the collaboration album with Jay-Z...
So if they are only at the writing stage, expect to see something around 2008

This actually reminds me of something I wrote about music prejudice... Might dig it out one day.
(I'm not saying that anyone here is that however, it was just a general opinion).

I must admit to having never heard the rumours of Chester Bennington's voice being shot. In fact quite the contrary, I remember reading a while back that he had not 1, not 2, but 3 side projects on the go!!
The first, Julien-K, is an electro band and seem to have a song on the Underworld Evolutions soundtrack. The second, Snow White Tan, apparently draws influences from the likes of The Cure and Depeche Mode and are due to release an album next year (it was delayed so that he could concentrate on the LP album). The third is a covers band called Bucket of Weenies, which as I'm sure you can guess is a much less serious project than his others...
He's been a busy man! Which could go someway to explaining the wait for any new Linkin Park stuff...

I stand corrected then my man. I was sure I hear something about him having to give up though... Damn that rumour mill!
