Alas it was my terrible misfortune to be in Rhodes on election day, but hey we all have a cross to bear!!

I don't even know who won or anything and to be honest I'm not really bothered.

Yes always have and always will.Saddens me (not to mention worries me) that the BNP did so well in Essex in this election. ELEVEN seats on one of the councils. Some of the wards where I live voter turnout was less than 20% and not the state of affairs is Lib Dem, Labour and Conservatives with an equal amount of seats. Then people moan about their local Council etc.. when probably most of them haven't bothered to vote. These days people seem to be more interested in voting in reality programmes than their democracy.

In Gt Yarmouth the BNP got 314 votes I think! Shocking! Didn't vote cos my district wasn't voting for some reason

As usual, I stood. As usual, I lost - although this time I'd carefully picked the ward I stood in so as to have no chance of winning, as I'll be moving away during the term of office.
