Slightly easier than picking my fave ep of S3. While there were still some good eps in S4, only two eps really stand out for me: 'Hush' and 'Restless'.
'Hush' edges it for me because of the Burton-esque feel to it and the great performances from the cast. Despite being unable to speak for most of the ep, they still manage to express their characters as we knew them from their actions. And the scene in the lecture theatre was brilliant!
And the Gentlemen have to be one of the scariest baddies that the Buffy-verse ever threw up.
It was an ep worthy of its Emmy nomination. Pity it didn't win.
EDIT: Oh, and the fact that it introduced us to Amber Benson and the character of Tara scores majorly with me
