I voted for 'every few months' but, ironically, I've been twice in three weeks (having seen 'Dawn Of The Dead' and 'Shaun Of The Dead') and I'll be going again in a fortnight's time when Kill Bill Volume Two comes out.

I'm one of those people who only go when there is something I really want to see that I can't wait till it comes out on DVD/video, although I'm more likely to go if I'm off work during the week.

Guess it all depends on the quality of films that are being released at any one time.

I've got a UGC card which is £9.99 a month..if I only see 2 films a month then it's worth it..At the moment I'm going about once a week although I've been three times in the last week to see "Dawn Of The Dead", "Gothika" & "The Girl Next Door". "The Butterfly Effect" will probably be viewed sometime this week as well.

what ^^^ he said! And we'll be seeing Shaun of the Dead too! I love going to the cinema. I think you can miss a lot even on bog standard films if you see them on the small screen. Scary films are scarier in the cinema because the screen has your undivided attention and i think that aspect of the cinema going experience enhances every film... even the really crap ones

Having previously worked in a cinema for 2 years (many years ago) I've gone from seeing every film that came out per week, to only going a couple of times a year for those rare trips like Blade, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Carribean and on treats for the in-laws such as James Bond and Star Trek movies

There is such an ease about seeing a movie at home, which cuts out all the elements like screaming/muttering kids and being able to pause the film for loo-breaks and snack-breaks

Although there is something amusing about going with a group of people ala Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back and giggling at (as well as along with) the people you go with

Have to agree with you there - for the 2 of us it's about the cost of a dvd nowadays (getting old ) have no idea how a family manages it!

Take your own thats what i do and I pay £9.99 a month for unlimited cinema.

Never understood the attraction of popcorn horrible stuff.
