Not a great episode but good nonetheless, what im most intrested in is whats going to happen to wes all alone now.
Angel Season 3: Episode 18: Double or Nothing
Angel is grieving. The way he sat, slumped in his room, just staring at the cot, was heartbreaking.
Cordelia and Groo are back from their hols, and what has she done with her hair???!!!... it's horrible!!!!!
I liked the way that she sat with Angel, not saying anything to him, she was just "there" for him, it was such a nice moment, despite the sadness of it all.
Fred visiting Wes in hospital, and telling him never to return to the hotel again, and then telling him the prophecy was a fake. How must Wesley be feeling after that revelation??...
The demon casino, and Gunn's soul being required for breaking the rules.
That perfect day (loved Fred's crown, it was so her imho )that ended so badly, but rather than fall completely to pieces, she went to the gang for help.. and Angel just sitting there, looking like he was still in some kind of stupor, til it dawned on him that Fred and Gunn had been dating!
Wesley left hospital alone and friendless I'm just wondering where his character will go next.
The scene in the casino was very good i thought. The way that Angel just took control and the way that Cordy helped to despatch of the head honcho with a swift stake through the hand... then Angel decapitated him.. and the new head that started to grow back... yikes!!.. that genuinely freaked me out!!..
All in all, a pretty good episode, ended by the scene of Angel dismantling the crib with a view to moving on with his life.

It's okay though, she covers it up with a bandanna in just about all the following episodes

Er, isn't that a spoiler?

While it's probably a decent episode, I actually found this one a bit of a letdown, especially in comparison to the previous couple of weeks.
And of course that was made worse by the fact I'd just watched "Villains"...
It smacked of filler to me, and I honestly don't believe Gunn would have forgotten about his little transaction the way he did.
Angel seemed to be woefully underused, appearing only as a deus ex machina at the end. Ok, he's upset and in mourning - we get that already!
It was nice to start getting an inkling of Grue's character - maybe I'll warm up to this guy! "Rectangles with telephonic digitation" - that actually made me smile
After about 10 mins I stopped watching and did something else. For the first time this season I was bored. Might give it another go at a later date but this episode was definitely on my 'bleurgh' list.
I watched, I fidgeted, I watched some more...not a great episode...When you were told that Gunn owed his soul to whatsisname I had a feeling that Angel would either gamble hi sown soul or offer his own soul to get Gunn's back...when he lost the card game I thought oooh...then they attacked whassispuss and got away..pretty weak ending for a pretty weak episode..hopefully it'll be back to it's best next week.
Nah!! didn't like it. boring boring boring
Oh dear god Cordys hair...
But anyway erm, not the best ep but just that bit at the end where Angel started taking apart the cot, it really was heartbreaking

ack the hair...it's awful and so very distracting. It was funny wiht Groo and the rectangles..but all in all not a the greatest episode of Angel
I have to say that that's been my reaction for the last few weeks - dramatic or not the show just isn't holding my interest any more I usually get around to watching the tape sometime on Sunday, just because it's there so I might as well.

I agree with all that's been said about Cordy's hair - I actually love the style (it's pretty much the one I had until the hairdresser from hell got her hands on it), but blonde *really* doesn't suit her!
Certainly not the best ep of Angel ever
It was just an excuse to have Angel move on after the abduction of Connor and coming to Gunn's rescue was the writer's way of doing that. Compared to the preceding ep of Buffy this was a very poor effort at a filler ep.

This was the funniest episode of Angel so Far. This made the episode for me and in my opinion it was the best so far. Sorry, but Angel has been below buffys standard so far. This is the only time it climbs above Buffy so far this season, with Buffy bettering it most times.
The trouble was, for the first 10 minutes I was still bored from Buffy. However, a very good episode. 9/10

Not a great ep, but not an awful one either. I ;liked the bit with Fred in the hospital telling wes never to come back to the hotel. I too was left wondering about what he was going to do now !
The casino scene was cool - the head growing back freaked me out too !!
I wasn't exactly bored by this one, I just wasn't sitting on the edge of my seat
This is still a damn good season IMO !
