If someone turns up the missing "Tenth Planet" episode they deserve a bloody Tardis.
Doctor Who Lost Episode Appeal
Ask any Doctor Who fan about the early days of Doctor Who and it will take him about 10 seconds to get to the part where the BBC binned dozens of episode from its tape library... to save space.
Yes, in the era of the DVD boxed set, its hard to imagine that in the 70s, TV wasnt 'history', or 'nostalgia' yet, and a mass clean out of the stores was ordered and much of classic TV was lost, including episodes of Hancock, Steptoe and Son and Z Cars.
Over the years, however, the odd episode has turned up, at car boot sales, in attics, or languishing in foreign TV stations. The BBC has launched an appeal in conjunction with Blue Peter to find more of these lost gems.
Anyone able to find one of these episodes will not only win a life size Dalek, but will be the hero of Dr Who fandom everywhere.
You are probably thinking that theres no way you could find something like this, but theres this thing called networking, or six degrees of separation... or something. Basically TELL people, your family, your friends, who need to tell their families and so on.
