Ohhhhh I loved all those shows, don't remember Automan either & I am a bit sketchy on Manimal.
I think the original 'Saved by the Bell' would count here as cult USA as I am talking about the ones when Screech was still a student!
Oohh Mork & Mindy was a favourite of mine as well.
I have come to the conclusion after posting on loads of threads on this site that I an enormously wide range of viewing tastes! I am very easily pleased & can sit & watch just about anything & enjoy it!

Saved By The Bell! MmmmZack. KnightRider and A Team were great. I love watching the repeats on digital.
You dont remeber automan !! He used to look lie an extra from a ready brek advert with all that blue haze around him and his car, anyone remember the highwayman, i think sam j jones (he of flash gordon fame) played the lead role, he drove around in a big truck with a helicopter built into the top of his cab it was real american trash but absolutely superb !!!

don't remember Automan
Wa-hey!!!!!!!! I don't actually remember Tripods when I was a kid, but a few years ago one of my Uni mates lent me the videos and I watched them all. It was a well cool series!
by misskittyfantastic
I used to watch a program called The Tripods too, which scared the bejesus outta me!! I used to hide behind the settee when it came on according to my dad.
My mate has some eps of it on his ftp server. I'm dying to watch them again, if only to make myself realise they weren't scary/were pants
Mork and Mindy was also another favourite of mine. Up untill Mirth came into it anyway.
If it's cheesy 80's tv - then the top one has to be Manimal - Simon McCorkindale - a man who could turn into animals!!!
And lets not forget the great Automan - a computer generated man, with the aid of cursor, he's little helper who could give him suits / cars like theyed stepped straight from Tron!!!
ANd there was always Miami Vice, Blye Thunder, Battlestar Galactica and so many more it makes me feel old just remembering !!

OMG - i thought i was the only one who watched that. I used to watch it all the time and cry if i missed it. A triangle was also the first shape i could recognise and draw because of that programme! Ah the joys of 80s TV

And let's have a moment's silence for the seminal TV that was.... "Triangle".....
e the day off and fsurfing through the channels - Channel 5 is showing TJ Hooker ! Heather Lockyer in her police uniform brings back old memories - nad she still looks good in Spin City.
'There is a God - Heather be thy name!'

Sitting here thinking of old 80's prog - there was one on that i cant remember what it was called. All about the guy who drove a large truck that turned into a helicopter, and he's australian mate who used a boomerang. I know i'm not dreaming this cos my dad remembers watching it with me - any help?????
Oooh! Battlestar Galatica was ace!
Juliet Bravo is the one I remember. That was cool! I watched one episode as a kid that really shook me up, cos they chased this guy and he hid in a freezer truck and got locked in. He ended up freezing to death, and I couldnt sleep that night for thinking how horrible it must be to freeze to death. I was only iccle

I used to watch. RTemembered it a few months back while having one of those worktime wasting conversations at work. But like you I can't remember what it was called. Now spending precious moments of my life trying to prove it wasn't a figment of my imagination. So thank you! On top of that I seem to remember the first series was great but in the second they changed lead actor, and went downhill.
Wasn't the bloke one of the models? Weren't they all spy types?
Please someone tell we what this series was called - email me at dufsky@aol.com
80's telly was ace!! The A-Team, Knight Rider, Airwolf were all fantastic! And then there were the 80's cartoons. Early Danger Mouse, Thundercats, Transformers. Wasn't 80's telly wonderful
It was called Cover Up. His cover was a male model, if I remember rightly - his female partner Dani was the photographer. The star was originally Jon-Erik Hexum (who was engaged to the second Fallon in Dynasty, Emma Samms), but he was killed - he shot himself in the head with a gun loaded with blanks(the actor, not the character). The actor that replaced him wasn't so cute, IMHO. he was called Antony Hamilton. I remember way too much about this, don't I?

My fave 80's shows were Beauty and the Beast, with Linda Hamilton, Chips, and Tales of the Gold Monkey, which noone else seems to remember.
