Well, that's a shame. Surprising if that really is the reason, though. Buffy's already very popular across a wide range of age groups - kids seem to really love it, even if it is a little 'adult' these days.

Still, Joss is already busy enough. The 'Ripper' series seems to be on hold indefinitely too. Maybe these things'll happen when he has more time..

Well I feel kinda glad to hear this news!
I don't think a cartoon series would have added anything of merit to the "Buffyverse".
In fact I think it would have detracted from it and messed things up if it tried to be serious and follow the story arcs from the series.

Also if it means Joss can concentrate on the "Ripper" series then I hope the cartoon idea stays on the shelf!
