If you're a fan of the first series check out Alan's "I need your help" thread
I'm really looking forward to the second series so yep I think watching the first one again might be a good idea

I loved the first series, although I still haven't watched the end!
I'm really not so sure about a second series though, Unlikely that Jack will have another mission to complete in 24 hours.. that's getting a bit too Die Hard for me!

OK after watching the first couple of eps - I'm liking it so far. Although I'm failing to see how it will all link together in the end. Thoughts? What's this abusive husband got to do with a bomb?
I've only seen the odd episodes of 24 but from what I've seen I like it.
Looks like we'll be buying this on DVD so will be catching up with it all soon.

Well it's certainly shaping up to be more violent than I remember the first one as being, looks like the psychological trauma's affecting ol' Jack
I think there's been a fair bit of shock value so far with the domestic abuse thing, and Jack's aberrant behaviour (like executing and then decapitating a witmess in a federal trial )
I know what you mean about "Die Hard Syndrome" though... 'how can the same **** happen to the same guy twice?!?!?' is something John McClane said in DH2.
Well at least agent Bauer still has his shirt and shoes

Well, I'm really getting into it already. Been watching on BBC3 as the lure of watching two episodes back-to-back on the first night was just too much! I'm hoping the wedding story line gets a bit more interesting in the coming weeks, but the tension created by Jack going undercover is just as good as anything from the first series. I was literally on the edge of my seat wondering if he was going to get caught.
Kim seems as annoying as ever and, conveniently, happens to be wearing another tight top for running around in. Has anyone else noticed the number of other new cast members who have been at her bottle of bleach though? And all the 'professional' women so far are brunette. What's your bets they're all two-faced double-agent murderers too?
The thing that's confusing me so far though is that the series started at 8am this time. If the suspected bomb is expected to go off in the course of the day, what is going to fill the hours after we reach midnight? I'll just have to watch and find out, I suppose.

LOL Me neither.

Thing is I can't get past Darlene from Rosanne...
The show's as entertainingly preposterous as ever, really.
The abusive father asked his wife to wrap up a present. I'm guessing it was a wedding present, and hence he is linked to the terrorists at the wedding in some way. We will have to wait and see!
Also... did you notice that the Terrorist groom's passport had a destination of Frankfurt. Does that sound familiar from the first series?

I am up to Episode 15 now, and I can tell you that it was the one of the BEST hour of television I have ever seen.
Dunno about you lot with Sky/Cable or watching stateside, I'm seriously enjoying the series on BBC2 so far. Drugging the backup guy watching Nina with the mineral water? Oh heck. What are you up to, Jack? *rubs hands with great anticipation*

I'm torn at the moment.
On the one hand, the Palmer and Bauer (Jack) storylines are tense and tightly plotted and barrelling along at speed.
The re-appearance of Cherie can only bump the tension another level.
However, we also have to suffer through the Barbie twins, women who appear to haver drifted into 24 by way of Melrose Place. I'm not sure how many more of their anaemic 'We have to talk...I'm your sister' conversations I can stand.
And then there is Kim...
Kim is just a complete annoyance and if I were Jack I'd be wondering about the parentage. She can be relied upon in any given situation to do the single most stupid and ultimately life threatening thing possible.
Particularly annoying is the fact that currently her storyline seems to have nothing to do with the main plot so who really cares? Any attempt to tie it in later will almost certainly exceed even the broadest limits of credibility.
Nina rid the world of one annoying member of the Bauer clan... maybe she can repeat the trick?

I've been hoping for Kim to get offed for her severe dimness since early in the first series. She's just been arrested, here's hoping it leads somewhere
I'm really enjoying this series at the moment. Won't say too much as I'm a week ahead on BBC3, but even those watching on BBC2 will have seen the big shocker with Marie now. How stunned was I? Great stuff
Mind you (totally random thought here), has anyone counted the number of people over the 2 series that Jack has tried to capture or get information from who have then killed themselves? He's got such a bad record!
And I now remember why putting series like this on BBC2 is a bad idea... they always miss a few weeks for sport! First it was golf, next week it's snooker. Grr.
