OK. Its been a couple of days, and nothing has been said.
Did anyone else see this? Enthralling TV is not the word for it... Good concept, good direction, good camerawork, all enhance an over-used plot to make it new again.
I loved it, every memonet. Like West Wing and Band of Brothers, this is drama that is going to keep me coming back.
Rain
I thought this was a really strong first episode, really promising. Nice to see Keifer Sutherland again too.

It was certainly an intriguing concept. I liked the fact that the format means they can't spell everything out for you - we're in at the deep end and have to pick up the clues about what's going on and who the characters are as they appear.
However it also means that I really don't see an awful lot of depth emerging. It is, certainly from first impressions, a fairly bog-standard thriller, and while I've no doubt they'll throw all sorts of twists at us as it progresses, and it'll continue to be very watchable, even compelling, TV, I can't at this point see it becoming anything more than that.

Anyone want to bet the repeat will be cancelled due to the just announced events?
Soooooooo...?
Is anyone else keeping up with this. As a humble Beeb2 Watcher, I don't know how far the rest of folks are ahead of me, but my money is on Gaines making Jack try to make the hit on Senator Palmer... Anyone else got any conspiracy theories!?!?!

Umm seen it already on BBC Choice.. /me stays quiet
I'm betting my money that Jack's boss (who also appeared in The West Wing season2 eps 1 & 2) isn't really dead at all and that this is all a plan by Jeb Bartlett to remain the only caring and sensitive but morally firm and honourable politican on TV.
Missed it 'cos of work :-(
Hoping that Beeb 1 do what they always do and repeat Beeb 2's best progs!
Or maybe it'll be out on dvd before then.....

Okay, I own up, I've only just started looking at the USA Cult forum. Well if you will make this thing so damn big...
Anyway, has anyone noticed a couple of familiar faces on '24'?
For instance:
Ira Gaines is played by Michael Massee, who also played Fun Boy in 'The Crow'.
Milo Pressman is played by Eric Balfour, who also played Jesse in 'Welcome to the Hellmouth' & 'The Harvest'.
Martin Belkin (the photographer killed on the plane) and Jonathan (the Assassin/Martin's double) are played by Rudolf Martin, who played Dracula in 'Buffy vs Dracula'.

This is getting *really* good! I missed an ep but then realised 2 was on on Saturday night and another on Sunday. I'm on episode 10 I think.
I'm wondering how they are going to make this spin out for another 14 shows?

ARRRRRRRAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
After very very carefully avoiding spoilers for 24 for about 5 1/2 months. I very carelessly scrolled to the bottom of my morning after TV email and spoiled the whole thing for myself. With 4 episodes left. i am sooooooo anoyed with myself. There's four absolute corkers and two 'OMG i never saw that coming at all' facts that i now know
Still white knuckle amazement time for you lucky people who haven't been stupid :jadelevelstupiditysmiley:
