I'm happy to read that. I was hoping it would get another season. The WB announces its fall line-up on Tuesday, 5/13 (I think), so I guess that will confirm it. Really happy about James Marsters joining the cast of Angel. He's the one person I most wanted to see jump over from Buffy. I think Angel and Spike could make a very amusing team--if that's the way they go. But I think there's a real chance Spike could overshadow Angel. Thanks for the good news.
Angel renewed (some cast spoilers in thread)
Angel has been renewed for a 5th season by the WB.
There's an article about it at Ain't it Cool News. Be warned that there are some spoilers about cast changes.

There was an article apparently in the Variety trade newspaper today about it being renewed with an option for a sixth season. Cast information is interesting. But as you can guess, i'm very, very happy with this news I had a feeling the series would be back
OK, so I've got till September to watch the rest of series 1 and all of series' 2, 3 & 4... No sweat...
I don't think I'm quiiiite that insane! I was quite pleased to have got through two thirds of series one in the two weeks leading up to End of Days.
Actually scratch the above, I probably am that insane. We still need to try and watch every episode of Red Dwarf in a weekend at some point...

As far as watching whole seasons of Angel in a weekend, I'd just like to say- it can be done!
Thanks to one of those nice places who had the first two seasons half price, I bought the pair about six weeks ago and watched the first in the space of about 48 hours. I'd promised myself I was never going to buy any Angel on VHS, so it was just a case of getting around to it.
But good news overall, it seems.
