Not just TV it would appear thar be movie plots in yer list
The One Where...
I got thinking the other day about just how unoriginal genre TV had become, it seems every show does the same episodes, just with different characters and different quality of writing.
These were the 'standard' eps I could think of, can you think of any more:
The 'two characters are trapped in an enclosed space, and facing death get a chance to bond' episode
The 'Groundhog Day' style timeloop episode
The 'Arena' episode where characters have to fight it out in a competition to survive.
The 'everyone thinks im dead, but Im really here just invisible and intangible' episode
The 'virtual reality' episode where people think theyve woken up but the real world is still part of the illusion.

Ooh, forgot the obligatory 'evil clone' episode.
Or the one where the character who is unique in some respect meets someone with exactly the same quality and sees an opportunity to discover something about his hidden past.
Or the 'parallel universe' episode where everything is slightly different, except for the hero who has to try to fake it

Oh in latter years theres usually a Die Hard episodes where the 'whatever' gets taken over by terrorists and much crawling around in air ducts ensues.
Or the one where the (super)hero accidentally switches powers with some random person who goes really big-headed, plain mad, bad, or all of the above. This inevitably leads to the hero, now struggling with daily life with no powers, in sheer chaos trying to get them back from someone who wants to keep them. A lot.
Or the one where the hero gets framed for robbery, murder, etc. and gets chased and shot at by somewhat overzealous authorities. Usually involves evil doppelganger... (see above )
Or the time travel one, where the bad guy's done something a bit naff like steal something when Evil Overlords with a bit more common sense would probably send trained hit-squads after the hero's great-great-great-great-(repeat to fade) grandparents... anyway, this leads to the hero following said intellectually-challenged villain, and changing stuff back while (depening on time period) meeting famous historical figures, or avoiding past versions of their own selves.
Has anyone missed any?

What about the main character of the show embracing their darker side for a while while under the influence of a drug/flower pollen/spell/delete where applicable?
How about the one where guest stars are actors/actresses from your other favourite shows.
For example, last week's Smallville where the coach was Greg "Clancy Lass" Keen (Dead Like Me)
