I haven't seen any of this show yet but knew that Bryan (DLM) Fuller was involved with it.

Is it/will it be shown on any channel in this country soon then?

I did notice the schmaltz somewhat in the last ep, but overall it is a lot of fun. Well played, and the central character is cynical in a rather real way - the similarities to Dead Like Me can be seen there. Well worth a look

Well, don't get too excited about the show. I've just heard from the DLM site I post on that the show has been cancelled.

Well, not sure what to tell ya'll -- but we're cancelled. Effective at once. The cow creamer will be silent this Thursday and forever forward.

Once we recover from the not-shock, Todd, Bryan and I will see if there's some venue in which to air the remaining episodes. As I have said from the start, the thirteen taken as a whole tell a story and go to a place, so a run of this "limited" series would not be unsatisfying elsewhere. It's a question as to whether the studio will want to invest in a DVD release of a failed series. Maybe the episodes will sit in a warehouse someplace with that sled and the arc of the covenant.

Once again we see why the Fox network are swines for new shows, time after time they have cancelled great new shows a handful of episodes in. They really dont seem to give shows a chance unless they seem to be the next Xfiles immediately (which is ironic as Xfiles had a very 'quiet' debut).

I can only hope the other 9 episodes (which i think were completed due to the long time it took fox to schedule the show) will show up somewhere.

I haven't seen Wonderfulls, but it's not just Fox that seems to pull the plug too quickly. It seems to me that networks want quick ratings success from most shows and are not willing to let a show build an audience. I'm amazed by the number of shows that have been cancelled after just two three or four broadcasts. They always seem to have some stupid reality show waiting in the wings to take the place of scripted drama.

Today's TV executives could learn a lesson from some of the people who ran networks in the past, who had faith in shows that started out badly and were rewarded when the shows eventually turned into hits--sometimes not until almost the end of the season. Just off the top of my head, I can remember that Seinfeld and Cheers--just to name a couple--were ratings flops when they began. But they were allowed to find their audience and look what happened. I think you're also right about The X-Files. I don't think that got good ratings at first either. But, it stayed on the air and became quite popular, once people found it.

Watched the first four episodes and hope to get the unaired ones soon . This is a great show which I only watvhed because I heard it was connected to Dead like me. and boy am I glad I did
