You (and I imagine pretty much everyone here) don't but presumably things like Big Brother keep getting commissioned because people are watching them so I think that having the programme make that comment is fair enough.

We needed Dr Who to tell us reality tv was bad?
Doctor Who
Hi folks, just been watching the first ep of the new Dr. Who - and I feel somewhat cheated.
Even though this is the same show that immortalised itself through killer dustbins, I never thought I'd see it reimagined as literally as this. Dear God, the whole thing just seemed so... cheesy!
I watched the occaisional bit of the occaisional episode of the old series many years ago and can barely remember it, but they never seemed as (intentionally) corny as this. Maybe except for the Daleks... but does anyone else remember it being, well, better?

I loved the series finale too, but I was a little disappointed with the last scene with the regeneration; it just seemed kind of... I dunno... (trying to find better way to describe it) anticlimactic?
But the rest of it was great, especially the Daleks - natch - and Captain Jack ("EXTERMINATE!" "Yeah, I kinda figured that...'') was great as usual... and I loved the little basement scene - and they thought they'd all be safe...
Can't wait 'til Crimbo!
