Watch it, it is wonderful... Hugh Laurie is fantastic... his American accent is very credible (a very good friend of mine in the US didn't believe he was actually British until he appeared on David Letterman a little while ago) and his humour is wonderfully dry and biting.
What draws me into this show is the mystery of whatever disease/symptoms that plague the patient. It's usually one per week with the whole team trying to figure out what is actually wrong with the patient. Hugh can be rather funny though it's not a comedy show, his character is addicted to vicodin because of a leg injury, hence the walking stick and he treats his staff unashamedly badly but the show is very good. The first series, after a slow start got huge ratings as it was either the run in show for American Idol, or the show on after it, i forget which. I watch it on Hallmark channel on Sundays at 9pm, so i'm about five or so eps ahead of channel five, but it is such a good show...i totally recommend it
