I know I'm not the only one who knows of the once-aired-here-but-then-for-some-reason-withdrawn 'mature' cartoon network spinoff (sorta) [adult swim] but I'm just wondering how alone I am...not

For those who don't know [adult swim] basically occupies the late-night through graveyard shift on the cartoon network in the States, screening more well-known fare such as Family Guy and Futurama as well as some anime but also original (and very unique) shows of its own, all either animation or related genres (i.e. claymation)

Some of it is ridiculously weird. Some of it is (frequently) unfathomable. But it's almost always guaranteed to raise at least a laugh or two, for whatever reason.

Some recommended shows to check out (if you can get hold of them...those torrent-aware will have the best luck trawling such sites as myspleen.net):

Aqua Teen Hunger Force (the misadventures of Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad, three mutant (I think) teenage fast food items. Sounds sorta like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Really, *really* isn't. The most frequently insane show I've ever seen)

Harvey Birdman, Attorney-at-Law (failed 60s superhero turned failing lawyer. With near-weekly cameos by classic Hanna-Barbara creations including the Flintstones, Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Secret Squirrel, Jonny Quest, and many more)

Sealab 2021 (like Sealab 2020. Only not. Crew of a futuristic deep-sea research station almost invariably become bored and try to find new ways to entertain themselves. Includes the sort of conversations you've only ever had when 'under the influence')

Robot Chicken (stop motion claymation series of short, almost ADD length skits absolutely skewering anything and everything in the pop culture sphere, from the classic kids shows of the 70s and 80s to the latest celebrity sex tape. And more!)

There are more, but these are the shows I've developed an unhealthy obsession over. Sealab is now sadly finished but the majority of episodes are still floating around the net. ATHF starts a new series towards the end of the year, Robot Chicken starts again I think early next year, and Harvey Birdman is currently ongoing.
