Ok I'll admit to warming to the Enterprise theme, but which was the best show theme, personally I found DS9 rather dull and plodding, Voyager was kind of a pastiche of trek i general, TNG just borrowed one from the movie, so Ill have to go with the first classic theme...
Did you know it originally had lyrics sung to it?

StooThere are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.
I never really got on with Voyager, but I did think the theme was awesome.
Slower than TNG, it seems to convey something very noble and human. I honestly can't explain it better than that. I used to tune in 5 minutes early for programmes after Voyager so I could hear the end credits (sad I know).
TNG was my fave. Loved the talky bit at the beginning. Sounded *so* good once on surround sound with all the lights off
Joe "Aren't you a little short for a storm trooper?"
DS9 theme, without a doubt (IMO). And they added bits along the way, which made it even better...
ChrissyAin't it hard when you discover that
he really wasn't where it's at
after he took from you everything he could steal?
These are the lyrics I am aware of:-
Beyond
The rim of the star-light
My love
Is wand'ring in star-flight
I know
He'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,
Strange love a star woman teaches.
I know
His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me.

You're warming to the Enterprise Theme music!
It is absolutely hideous, the worst type of sentimental pap. It is by far the worst thing about this series. It's even more annoying than the vulcans!
Warming to it? Pah! Be a cold day in hell before I do that.
As for your question, both TOS and TNG were a bit a rough around the edges, music wise, and I can't remember the difference between DS9 and Voyager, but I can hear Voyager's theme in my head, so I'll plump for that.
JtB If someone gives you freedom it is not freedom, freedom is something you take for yourself.
The tune at the End credits of Enterprise is quiet good in my opinion.
But then again if the Enterprise theme annoys you that much just switch the volume off until the show comes on.

Sorry mate, but the theme tune to Enterprise is like the music for the Bud adds but without the humour. I find as much enjoyment in it as voluntarily listening to anything by Yes. Not something I often do...
And when the credits role I flip to MTV2, count mentally, and then flip back. Got my timing down like a bad-boy, I don't miss/hear a single beat.
Mastermind It is better to walk in the darkness with a friend than in the light alone.
I really like the theme to Enterprise.
For those of you that donÂ’t know: It was originally sung by Rod Stewart.
